Harriet Lipman's Obituary
Harriet Randell Lipman, 91, passed away on July 31, 2022, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She was born in 1930 in the Bronx, NY, the youngest child of Henry and Pearl Randell.
Harriet will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a faithful friend, a spectacular storyteller, and a lifelong learner after graduating from City College of New York, leading to her career as an elementary school teacher. After raising three children in Long Island, NY, Harriet and her husband Warren retired to Delray Beach, FL. Harriet loved reading and volunteered at the Palm Beach County Library Hagen Ranch Road Branch for many years. She enjoyed water aerobics at the pool and weekly bridge games at Boca Delray Golf and Country Club, where she lived for 25 years.
Harriet is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Warren Lipman, as well as her brother Mel Randell. She is survived by her sons, Howard Lipman, husband of Elizabeth Lipman, and Robert Lipman, husband of Donna Lipman, and daughter, Karen Lipman, wife of Jeffrey Casper, as well as her granddaughter, Amy Lipman, and grandsons, Dustin Lipman and Daniel Casper.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL. The family will be sitting shiva at Harriet’s home on Thursday following the service and Friday, beginning at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Smile Train.
