Harvey Goldstein's Obituary
Harvey Goldstein, 79, of Palm Isles West in Boynton Beach passed away Thursday September 15, 2016. Born in the Bronx, New York, Harvey graduated from Stuyvesant High School and after receiving a degree from City College went on to receive his MBA from C.W. Post College. Harvey worked as an engineer for the space program, developing camera equipment for the space shuttle program. He also was a City Administrator with the New York City Department of Sanitation.
Harvey came to Florida from Muttontown, New York with his wife of 53 years, Arlene. In addition to his beloved wife Arlene, Harvey was the devoted father of Gary (Christina) Goldstein, Douglas (Mary Anne) Goldstein, Jason Goldstein, and Wendy Freeman; the cherished grandfather of Ryleigh, Jonathan, Teagan, Liam, Brian, and Kayla; the loving great grandfather of Cosette; and the dearest brother of Sue Gallen. Chapel services are 10:15AM on Sunday September 18, 2016 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 followed by interment in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach. Rabbi Geoffrey Botnick will officiate. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, www.stjude.org.
