Harvey L Stetson's Obituary
Harvey Stetson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 1st.
Born in 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts, Harvey was a proud veteran of the Korean War. During his service overseas, his best friend and the love of his life, Joan, joined him—a reflection of the deep bond they shared. Their marriage was one of remarkable devotion, spanning 70 years of love, partnership, and family. Joan predeceased Harvey, but their enduring connection remained a defining part of his life.
After returning from military service, Harvey and Joan settled in Framingham, where they welcomed their daughters, Lesley and Doreen. The family later moved to Long Island, where they completed their family with the birth of their son, Eric. Upon retirement, Harvey and Joan moved to Florida, where they spent their remaining years together enjoying the life they had built side by side.
Harvey was a proud family man who took great joy in the generations that followed him. He is survived by his three children, Lesley, Doreen, and Eric; their spouses, David, Brian, and Jennifer; his ten grandchildren—Jared, Ryan, Jessie, John, Rachel, Josh, Shane, Zach, Anna, and Emily—and seven great-grandchildren.
Harvey will be remembered for his service to his country, his unwavering devotion to Joan, and the love and pride he held for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished above all else.
Services will be held on Monday, January 5th at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach, FL. Services will start at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following services Shiva and a Minyan will follow at The Club at IBIS.
Those who wish to further honor the memory of Harvey may best do so by means of a contribution to American Veterans (AMVETS), Jewish Federation of North America or IBIS for the Shiva (561-625-8500 Ext 1).
