Helen Sonya Freedman's Obituary
Helen Sonya Freedman, 80, of Cascade Lakes in Boynton Beach passed away Sunday July 16, 2017. Formerly of Massachusetts, she was one of the original residents of Cascade Lakes. Helen was a Visitor Services Associate at the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum & Learning Center in Boynton Beach where she was responsible for developing and running the Museum’s annual Hanukkah program. Helen was the beloved wife of 59 years of Bernard; the devoted mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Jill Freedman and Heidi and Jonathan Goldberg; the loving grandmother of Benjamin, Melissa, Noah, and Daniel; and the dearest sister of Rosalind (Joseph) Ferman, Rita (the late Leonard) Bernstein, the late Michael Kramer, and the late Lillian. Chapel services will be held 1:45 PM on Tuesday at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 followed by interment in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach. Rabbi Craig Ezring will officiate. The family kindly suggests that memorial contributions in her memory be made to Schoolhouse Children’s Museum & Learning Center, 129 East Ocean Avenue.
