Herbert Benjamin Cohen's Obituary
Herbert Benjamin Cohen was born in New York City on January 8, 1928 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High school and then attended the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy. He then began employment with Whelan Drug Stores as a registered pharmacist and married Harriet Constance Weiskopf on July 1, 1951. Harriet and Herbert moved to Plainview, NY where Herbert continued to work as a pharmacist for Whelan Drugs at various stores on Long Island. Herbert and Harriet subsequently moved to the upper east side of Manhattan where they stayed until retiring to Boynton Beach, FL. While living in the Valencia Lakes community Herbert made many friends and led an active and rewarding retirement until his death on January 13, 2010.
Herbert is survived by his son Matthew Terry Cohen, his daughter Mindy Cohen Western, his daughter in law Karen Jayne Cohen, grandson Arik David Cohen, and Granddaughter Sofia Elianna Western.
