Honey Lou Phyllis Simowitz's Obituary
Simowitz, Honey Lou Phyllis. age 93 of Tamarac, Florida passed away peacefully at her residence at Harbor Chase, August 25th, 2020. She was born May 26th, 1927 in Brooklyn New York to the parentage of Joseph and Mae Shane.
Honey Lou raised her family in Massapequa, Long Island, enjoying motherhood of five Loving children, and then later on with their respective spouses. Honey is survived by, Peter (Linda) Simowitz, Steven (Pat) Simowitz, Kenneth(predeceased), Mark (Tish) Simowitz and Janet Simowitz; Adored older brother Stanley(predeceased); Cherished grandmother of Keith, Bryant, Garret, Aaron, Kevin, Jennifer, Tyler and Dylan; Sincere great-grandmother of Jared and Thomas.
Honey Lou was Bat Mitzvah later in her life and was a past president of her local chapter of Hadassah. Her passions included traveling the globe to, Israel, Egypt, Eastern Europe, Japan, Thailand, England and the Caribbean. Honey Lou always prayed for peace on earth and her mantra was "War no More".
She moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1982 where she followed her other passions, singing, dancing and producing musicals. She continued her work with Hadassah. Graveside services will beheld on Friday, August 28th, 2020
at 11:00am at Star Of David Cemetery 9321 Memorial Park Road, West Palm Beach Florida, 33412. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the near future. Those wishing to honor Honey Lou, with a memorial contribution are kindly asked to consider a Charity of Their Choice.
