FELDMAN, HOWARD L., D.M.D. of Boca Raton, FL, formally of Danvers, MA.
Age 87. Entered into rest on March 16, 2022 Beloved husband of Roberta Feldman (Belkin) for 63 years. He was the dear son of the late Ruth (Bloomberg) and Joseph Feldman. Devoted father of Eric (Marsha) Feldman of Danvers, MA, Lauren Steinberg (Jack Reader) of Exeter, NH, and the late Marc and David. Adored “Papa” to Alyssa Feldman of Brookline, MA. and Drew Steinberg of Burlington, VT. Predeceased by brother Carl Feldman and brother-in-law Herbert Belkin. Survived by sisters-in-law Lois Feldman of Highland Beach, FL, Sheila Flaxman of New York City, NY, Sylvia Belkin of Swampscott, MA and special cousin Geri Frank of Boca Raton, FL. Uncle to 3 nieces, 1 nephew and great uncle to 7.
Howard was a graduate of Boston Latin School, Tufts University and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He practiced Dentistry for 33 years in Rowley, MA.
He also held the rank of Clinical Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry, Crown and Bridge Restorative Dentistry, Oral Diagnosis and Oral Pathology at Tufts Dental School, teaching there for 25 years.
Howard served two years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Tidewater in Norfolk,Virginia leaving the service as a full Lieutenant.
He was a member of the American Dental Association, Mass Dental Society and North Shore Dental Society. He was also a charter member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, Fellow of the International College of Dentistry, Fellow of the Academy of Dental Science and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.
He also served on the Board of Directors for Temple Beth Shalom and its Brotherhood, Peabody, MA, the Board of Directors of the Danvers Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Board of Directors of Thomson C.C. of North Reading, MA, Kernwood C.C. of Salem, MA, the Board of Governors of Boca Lago C.C. of Boca Raton, FL and finally on the Board Of Directors and then as President of the Pines Association of Boca Lago, Boca Raton, FL.
For many years, he gave back and volunteered at the Veterans Administration Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Boca Raton, FL.
Howard's first love was for his family of whom he was extremely proud. His second love was playing golf and his biggest thrill was making 2 “Holes-in-One”.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends.
Service will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Delray Beach, Florida.
Following the service, friends and family may meet at The Pines Clubhouse, 9255 Vista Del Lago Boca Raton (The Pines at Boca Lago) from 1:00pm – 4:30pm.
