Howard A. Kaplan's Obituary
Howard Kaplan, 81, of Wellington, Florida, passed away Sunday December 6, 2015. Formerly of Ossining, New York, Mr. Kaplan spent his career as a business owner in the women’s fashion industry. He and his wife Norma lived in New York for most of their lives until they retired to Wellington. Mr. Kaplan was an avid golfer, tennis player and bowler, and also played in a touch football league. He spent many years coaching youth basketball teams, including one which played in the Westchester County championship game. He was actively involved with the United Jewish Appeal, the Wycliffe Men’s Golf Association (including serving as President and in a number of other official positions), the Wycliffe Charities Foundation, and the Wycliffe Member Guest Golf Tournament Committee. Mr. Kaplan is survived by his wife Norma, sons Mark and Gary, daughters-in-law Lisa and Carla, and grandchildren Caroline, Jacob, Jessica and Tanner.
