Ida Goffin's Obituary
Goffin – Ida (Idei) passed away at age 90 on December 16, 2023 in Boca Raton, FL. Beloved wife of 66 years to Bernard Goffin, she is survived by her three sons and their wives: Jay Goffin and Ellen Kaplan Goffin of Schaumburg, IL, Gary Goffin and Marci Sindell of Needham, MA, David Goffin and Jody Sabah Goffin of Encino, CA and her grandchildren, Rachel, Noah, Andrew, Isaac, Zachary and Gabriel. Idei was born in Waterbury, CT to Jacob H. and Sarah (Rimer) Perlman and lived in Cheshire and Trumbull, CT until her retirement to Boca Raton. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene in 1953 with an associate degree and from the University of Connecticut in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree and a love of UConn’s women’s basketball. Idei enjoyed taking long walks, especially on the beach, playing tennis, reading, watching sports, and caring for plants. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 1:45pm at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Delray Beach, FL.
Entombment will follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Boynton Beach, FL, and shiva will be private.
