Ina was the first mom I knew beyond my own mom. Many of my earliest memories are of playing with David and Rob at their house with the huge front lawn, playing boat game on the boys' beds, dropping way too many things down the second-floor laundry chute, playing in the car in the garage, watching 8mm movies in the dining room or 4:30 Movie sci-fi flicks on a tv upstairs. And every time of play ended with either the best tuna sandwiches in the world, or chicken and rice. Sometimes we even let my little sister play with us.Actually, I don't think we ever let my little sister play with us. Cooties, y'know. It's not like losing a friend, or a friend's mom. It's losing a pillar of my childhood. My love and deepest sympathies to everyone in the family.
