Ira Hershfield's Obituary
Ira Hershfield, 91, of West Palm Beach, Florida, died peacefully on Jan. 6 surrounded in a circle
of love by his family.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the A.S.A., a predecessor of the N.S.A.,
from 1954-56.
After attending New York University on the G.I. bill, he started a career in marketing research
and worked at the Ted Bates Agency in New York City. He went on to have a career traveling
the world for the international research division of Exxon/Mobil Oil before starting his own
company, FactLine Inc., which specialized in motor vehicle marketing research.
In 1960, he married the love of his life, Rose Siegel, and had two children, Deb Amlen and
Sharon Hockstein.
Ira was predeceased by his mother and father, Nancy and Harry Hershfield, as well as his
brother, Bernard Hershfield. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose, his daughters Deb and
Sharon, his sons-in-law, Charles Foreman and Steven Hockstein, and his grandchildren, Dan
and Eli Hockstein and Carly and Devin Amlen.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ira's Honor to your favorite charity. A Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 12 pm at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Delray Beach, Florida.
