Iris E Kapustein's Obituary
Iris E. Kapustein, 76, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on January 18, 2021. Iris was born on March 27, 1944 to Leon and Bella Bessowitz in Baltimore, MD. While attending Tilden High School in Brooklyn, NY, she met Walter Kapustein at a Sweet 16 party. At the time, Iris had no idea that they would ultimately wed in 1965 and enjoy 56 years of wedded bliss. After taking some college courses, she decided to enter the workforce. After accepting a position at Olsten Corporation, her professional career began to flourish. Slowly moving up the ranks to Director of Trade Shows. After more than 15 years, she ventured out on her own. First launching a successful trade show training and consulting business. Then House of Promos – a company dedicated to providing unique promotional products and corporate gifts. Iris was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children. Family came first and was above all else to Iris, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Iris had many interests. But most especially a love for the theatre, traveling and knitting. She is survived by her husband, Walter; children, Howard (and his wife Kim) and Robin; grandchildren, David, and Sydney; and sister Sheila. A private memorial service, officiated by Rabbi Jonathan Kaplan, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 20th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her loving memory to American Liver Foundation (https://liverfoundation.org).
