Irma Ziegler's Obituary
Irma Ziegler of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Saturday July 25, 2026 at the age of 88. She was born on December 16, 1937 in the Bronx, NY. Irma was always interested in drama and dance and attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City. After marrying the love of her life, Murray, in 1958, they started their family and had two daughters and a son. After settling in Rockaway, NJ, Irma began teaching dance in 1966 and opened her own dance studio in 1978. Being the entrepreneur that she was, in 1989 she established Headliners Dance Competition, a national dance competition for children that continues to this day.
Irma is survived by her loving husband, Murray, whom he called his “beautiful girl”, her sister Gail Schaefer, daughter Shari Tomasiello (Frank), daughter Stacey Berube (Marc), son Craig Ziegler (Christine), grandchildren Rachel, Alana, Jake, Jared, Jordan, Daniela, Anthony, and great-granddaughter Francesca. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 29 at 9am at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33437, followed by burial at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, FL. Shiva Visitation will take place at the home of Murray Ziegler, 6999 Fairway Lakes Drive Boynton Beach, FL. Wednesday July 29th (12pm-3pm and 7pm-9pm), Thursday July 30th (2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm) and Friday July 31st (2pm-4pm).
