It's very hard to accept that you're no longer with us, Professor. I will always remember your kindness, guidance, and the impact you had on my educational journey at UIC.
My respect and prayers for you will never end. You were one of the most remarkable professors and one of the most respectful people I have ever met. You taught us not only what was in the textbooks, but also the importance of kindness, politeness, integrity, and how to be a good human being.
Words will never be enough to express how much we are going to miss you. Your legacy will continue to live on through the lives of the students you inspired. We all have to leave this world one day, but the kindness and wisdom you shared will never be forgotten.

I’m very sorry to hear of Jack’s passing, & I extend my condolences to his family….
I moved in to my condominium last year at this time. Jack was the person that gave me my orientation, & answered my every question with detail. God only knows how many subsequent phone calls I placed to Jack over the last year. He was always pleasant & informative, he never once declined my numerous calls. All I can say is “thank you” Jack, you were always there to guide, & help me… May he RIP 🙏

To do things with passion. He was passionate for teaching, which made he stand out among all other professors. That’s why he is remembered today by so many people.
I can’t share just one memory of him! I remember so many times when he was always so supportive, patient and kind throughout the years when he thought us so many things about life! He will always live in my memory and I am beyond grateful to had the pleasure of having him as a professor
