Jack Starkman's Obituary
Jack Starkman, 96, passed away on Sept. 26, 2021 in Boynton Beach, FL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. A retired certified public accountant with a law degree, he was also a World War II veteran.
Jack was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1925 after his parents, Isaac and Celia, emigrated from Poland. He grew up a proud American, joining the Army at age 18 to serve in Germany during WWII. After the war, he married Lorelei Weissberg in 1948 after they met at a dance. They had two children, a son, Mark Starkman, and a daughter, Meryl Taylor. Jack used his benefits from the G.I. Bill to put himself through college. And later, while working full-time as a CPA, he completed law school. In his downtime, he loved to travel with his family, teach his neighbors about computers, and snap pictures of his loved ones.
He is survived by his children, Mark and Meryl, and his grandchildren, Evan, Justin, and Melanie.
Services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 1:30 pm at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
