Jacob "Jack" Bertman's Obituary
Jack Bertman of Boca Raton FL, died on July 29th at the age of 61 due to complications of COVID-19. Jack spent his final days being cared for by his loving and devoted wife, and surrounded by his close family. Despite battling the disease for weeks, his passing came as a sudden shock to all who knew him.
Jack was born in 1958 in Camden, New Jersey to Arleen and John Bertman. He received his bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. Jack married Christine “Chrissy” Noto, and the couple relocated from New Jersey to Kansas and then to Florida as Jack pursued his career in sales.
Jack had a passion for life and seemingly boundless energy with which he pursued his many hobbies over the years, including motorcycling, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, boating, photography, scuba and more. Jack was known for his sense of humor, spirit of adventure, playfulness, generosity, and a warm, outgoing personality that won him friends wherever life took him.
Jack is preceded in passing by his mother Arleen. He is survived by his loving wife and fur babies Lexy and Ringo along with his three siblings, Ellen (Dave), Michael and Robert (Erin), and his father, John. Jack was loved by his 10 nieces and nephews, and 2 great-nieces. Jack’s family and friends will miss him more than words can convey.
A memorial service will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jack can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
