James Nathan Klaber's Obituary
James Nathan Klaber died at Delray Medical Center, June 4, 2019, from injuries sustained in a May 22nd automobile accident. He was 72. Jimmy was born August 2, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, to Pearl and Henry Klaber, who preceded him in death. He attended and graduated from University of Bridgeport, where he became a member of the Pi Omega Chi fraternity. Jimmy continued his devotion to the POC brotherhood for the remainder of his life; connecting members, and over the years, coordinating reunions.
In the 70s and early 80s, Jimmy hosted a consumer action and investigative TV news program and was a Chief Investigative Reporter with ABC-TV affiliates in St Louis and Chicago. He earned a JD from the Nevada School of Law at Old College and worked in and around the legal profession for more than 25 years. Klaber was an active member of the Jewish community, working with the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith as well as serving as both a Director on the Board and a founding member of a local Deerfield Beach synagogue. He was also certified as a multi-engine instrument pilot.
Mr. Klaber is survived by his sister Nikki D’Alonzo (Frank), daughters Devie Richards and Amber Kaan (Mike), nephew Michael and grandchildren Dallas and Genevieve.
