James Herbert Rosenberg's Obituary
James Herbert Rosenberg, 85, passed away peacefully on May 15th at his home in Boynton Beach with his family by his side. The son of Albert and Beatrice Rosenberg, Jim was born in Rochester, New York in 1935 and lived there until his family relocated to Los Angeles in 1947. He graduated from the University of Southern California where he studied real estate and finance. After earning his degree, Jim served in the Army and played 1st trumpet in the band. Playing the trumpet was a lifelong passion of Jim’s, and he was a proud member of numerous bands, orchestras and trios throughout his musical career. Jim started his own real estate development business and went on to have a successful career that took him all over the country.
A loving family man, Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kay, daughter Janet (Garrett), son Jamie (Carole), grandson Garrett Jr., granddaughter Allison, sister Margery (Maurice), brother Dick, sister-in-law Sandy (Don) and many nieces and nephews. He earned a reputation as a jokester and will forever be remembered for his quick wit, signature smile and appreciation of all things chocolate. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services will be held on Friday May 21, 2021 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL beginning at 11:00 am. Rabbi Larry Shuval will officiate.
