To Jay's family – I knew Jay from my years working at Hillel School, although I never met the rest of you. I know how much he felt a part of the Hillel family and we were very lucky to have him in that family. This is very sad and unexpected news for us all. To Jay's Family:I live in Minnesota and have known Jay for 30 years. He helped me get started in the business and guided me whenever I needed help, which was often. He kept me calm, when I wasn't, which was often. He was a great guy. He always had something interesting to say and news about others that I didn't know.He also got me involved in the Sales Rep Association, which I unfortunately became President…all thanks to Jay. I did it because Jay made me and I knew he was right.When he moved to Florida he helped me in selling my business. He directed me and gave me wonderful advice. I was smart enough to take his advice and again, he was right.We also shared our love of our Judaism and Israel, This kept us connected and grounded. I hope he continued to find comfort in his Judaism.However our jokes kept us connected. He was a major source of jokes and I distributed them to my big list. I saddened at the passing of Jay. We worked together on the Beth Sholom board and bowled together with Bnai Brith at Clover Lanes. I enjoyed his company and will miss him.
Saddened at the loss of my good friend from the RAC and JCC in Rochester, NY who, by his presence, kept me faithful to my workout, well informed and highly entertained. Prayers for all your family. You will be missed, Jay.
My husband and Jay worked as sales reps for the same line , different state. The first time I meet Jay he came to our home for dinner. My husband told me that he was a big man , so I wanted to make sure I had enough to eat so I made 3 pound of pasta. By the way that was 42 yrs ago. Our hearts are broken Nat and Peggy
