Jeanne Sass' Obituary
Jeanne Sass, age 96, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away on October 4, 2019. Jeanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Her life was filled with family, friends, love and laughter. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Elmont, Long Island before relocating to Florida. Jeanne was married to Paul Sass for 74 years until his passing in August, 2017. She was the mother of Andrea (Herbert) Wheeler of Salem, New Hampshire, Susan Sass of Salem, New Hampshire, and Kenneth (Wendy) Sass of Buffalo, NY. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Reuben Sass. She was a devoted sister to Trudy (Manny) Garshofsky, Etta Frank, Benjamin (Ann) Frank, Solomon (Claire) Frank, David (Evelyn) Frank, and Max Frank. Jeanne was a loving Aunt to Cindy, Diane, Billy, Cynthia, Gary, Karen, Stephan,and Jeffrey. Jeanne had many friends from all walks of life. She was known for her love of entertaining and cooking, and bringing people together. She served for 20 years as a legal secretary for the District Attorney of Nassau County, NY. Memorial Services will be held at 10:15 am Friday, October 11, 2019 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, Florida 33437. Jeanne will be laid to rest at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach.
