JOSEPH IRA REICHFELD's Obituary
Joseph Reichfeld of Wellington Florida passed away on Sunday June 4th 2017. Joseph was born in Jamaica Queens, the 3rd and youngest son of Ray and Alexander Reichfeld. A competitive swimmer in school, Joe was known as “Joe Fish” at John Adams High School in Ozone Park, New York. A graduate of Queens College, Joe was a New York City Police Officer until he retired. Joe returned to school to earn his BS in accounting and worked as credit analyst in New York and security in Florida. Joe is survived by his wife, Eve, and children Alice and Rian. He was proud to see Rian called to the Torah and Alice graduate high school this year. Joe is also survived by his brother James Reichfeld of Massapequa New York, and cousins in New York, California, and Massachusetts. Joe will always be remembered for his sense of humor, strong opinions, fondness for animals, and most especially, his love of family. Despite his 10 year residence in Florida, Joe remained a New Yorker at heart.
Donations may be made to the Chabad of Wellington or Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. Shiva will be at the Reichfeld residence Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30-7:30 pm and Sunday from 3-5 pm.
