Joyce Weiner Knofsky's Obituary
Joyce Weiner Knofsky passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 27, 2026 at the age of 96, leaving behind a family who adored her and a legacy of love that will endure for generations.
Born on April 1, 1930, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Joyce lived a beautiful life centered around family, tradition, resilience, and joy. She settled in Warren, Ohio where she and her beloved husband of 62 and 1/2 years Howard raised five children and relocated to South Florida. She was preceded in death by Howard, and their son, Brian Knofsky. She is lovingly survived by her children- Jodie, Randi, Kim, Terri, Jim, and Rex, her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Joyce was the heart of her family: a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a gift for bringing people together and filling every room with warmth, laughter, and expressions of love. Her kitchen was always full, her Chanukkah bush always decorated, her table always open, and her home always a gathering place for family and friends.
In her lifetime she worked closely with Howard and together they built a successful scrap metal business and real estate portfolio. Joyce had a unique ability to organize everything and everyone she touched was the better for knowing her.
She radiated light and joy, and her vibrant spirit made people feel instantly comfortable and cared for. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate the people around her. Independent, strong willed, and spirited long before her time, Joyce lived life fully and unapologetically.
The traditions she created and upheld, the meals she prepared, and the love she poured into her family will continue to live on through all who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered in her memory to the Morse Life Foundation (https://morselifefoundation.org/donate/) and designate your support to their Hospice Program.
