Joyce Freeman Press' Obituary
Joyce Press, 79, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2023 after a long battle with ALS. She is survived by her husband, Morton Press, son Brian Press, daughter-in-law Dina Press, daughter Michelle Press Rubin, son in-law Paul Rubin, and grandchildren Rachel, Jake, and Sam Rubin.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, wonderful wife, and extraordinary person. She was very generous - always thinking about others and concerned about making the world a better place. She was raised in Cortland, New York, where she was the first girl in her synagogue to have a bat mitzvah and she remained dedicated to Jewish causes throughout her life. She remained brave and positive throughout her long battle with ALS, and continuously amazed family and friends with her undying spirit.
Those wishing to honor her memory are kindly asked to consider making a donation to either the ALS Society(www.als.org) or ALS Center at the University of Miami (www.miami-als.org).
