Judith (Judy) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on June 5th, 2024. She was born on July 24th, 1939 in Canton, Ohio to Sam and Gert Weiser. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jerald (Jerry) Eppy. She is survived by her loving children, Joe and Fran Eppy and Marci and Steve Schwartz. She also leaves Grandchildren Sam and Kelly Eppy, Craig Eppy, Jeffrey Schwartz and Brad Schwartz, as well as Great-Grandchildren, Ben and Nathan Eppy ( Sam and Kelly Eppy) and Emma Schwartz (Brad Schwartz). She is also survived Her two sisters and brother in laws Ruthie and Bob Altman and Joan and George Harwin, numerous nieces and nephew and great nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Lehman High School in 1957. She attended Kent State University for one quarter, before dropping out of school to marry the love of her life.
Judy was the most amazing mother and homemaker. She prepared amazing meals and wanted to feed everyone. You could always bring someone for dinner without advance warning and there was always plenty of food. She worked in the family auto dealerships and when Judy and Jerry moved fulltime to Florida in 1997, she worked for many years in her son’s insurance and financial planning practice, there, Judy knew every client by name and the life story. She used to say I am not nosy, just curious. Every client loved Judy.
Judy was a member of Arrowhead Country Club where she was active in both the women’s golf group and playing often with her Jerry. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was a Lion of Juddah. She supported her husband when he was president of Shaaray Torah Congregation in Canton, Ohio.
She enjoyed many social outings with her husband and travelled extensively. Her family was the most important thing to her. She had many summer trips with Jerry and her 4 grandchildren that meant everything to her.
Services will be Sunday, June 9th at 9:00 AM at Beth Israel Chapel, 5808 W Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. Internment at Eternal Light Memorial Garden, 11520 State Rd 7, Boynton Beach following the service. Shiva will be at the home of Marci and Steve Schwartz, Delray Beach, Florida, following the internment. Shiva will also Sunday and Monday evening from 5-8 PM.
