Julius Shifnadel's Obituary
Julius Shifnadel was born in New York City on January 15, 1923, and passed away at 101 years of age on June 15, 2024. An Army veteran, he proudly served the United States during World War II, earning several medals of honor. Julius retired to Delray Beach, Florida after a long and successful career serving the City of New York. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching tennis, testing his luck at the casino, and welcoming his family to his home for visits and celebrations. Julius demonstrated kindness and generosity to all he encountered and maintained a healthy sense of humor. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 74 years, Emma, and his cherished daughter, Paula Pivnick. Julius is survived by his caring and treasured daughter, Eileen Mintzer, along with loving grandchildren, Melissa, Richard, Eric, Elliot, Robert, Jennifer, Matthew, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach. Entombment to follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Florida.
