Karen D'Anne Means' Obituary
Karen D’Anne Means was 64 years old when she passed away on April 30, 2024 in
Boynton Beach, Florida after a long-fought battle with cancer.
Preceding D’Anne in death were her father, Dale Paul and her first daughter, Paige
Means. Her legacy will continue on through her mother, JoAnne Paul; her husband,
David Means; her children, Chase Means, Victoria Tramonte, Seth Means, Allison Oliver,
and Peyten Loffelmacher; and her grandchildren, Olivia Means, Adeline Tramonte and
Pierce Tramonte.
D’Anne was born on October 12, 1959 to Dale and JoAnne Paul in Farmington, New
Mexico and graduated from Clovis High School in New Mexico in 1977. She went on to
study elementary education at Bethany Nazarene College, now known as Southern
Nazarene University and graduated in 1981.
In 1980, D’Anne met David on the campus of MidAmerica Nazarene College, now known
as MidAmerica Nazarene University, while getting ready to travel together for a summer
ministry through the Nazarene church. D’Anne and David were married in 1981 and
proceeded to have their five children.
D’Anne worked with children throughout her life as a teacher, principal, and children’s
pastor. Her ability to bless children with the love of Christ was unparalleled, and she
impacted more people than we will ever know. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother,
and grandmother (affectionately known as Mama D). May she continue to enjoy Christ’s
love on an even more personal level with Him in heaven!
The family will be hosting a celebration of D’Anne’s life on Sunday May 12, 2024 at 4 P.M.
It will take place at Regency Park Church of the Nazarene (8707 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK
74145). Cards, letters, expressions of love and appreciation will be welcomed by her
family. Flowers and plants will be left at the church to perish, so in lieu of these, please
make contributions to the church if you feel so inclined. Any donations received will be
used to cover the cost of appetizers and snacks for everyone after the celebration
service and to further the mission of the church - just as she would want it. D'Anne loved
others and loved hosting and would love for us all to have a bit of a party.
