Charnell Havens
Kit and I first met during the 1956/57 school year when we pledged the same Ohio State sorority. We have been friends ever since.
During those college days, Kit was intellegent, creative and strikingly beautiful. She was a mixture of impishness, a flower child and quiet elegance, and she lit up a room wherever she went. Kit saw beauty in everything and in her adult life she brought that beauty to life through her paintings and photography.
As the years flew by, we saw each other in person infrequently, but always kept in touch through cards, notes, phone calls and -- as technology later enabled -- through texts and social media. I'll miss touching base with my long-time friend.
Blessings to Kit's sons and their families, and may their hearts be filled with beautiful memories and gratitude for a life well lived.
