KAY SACHS's Obituary
Kay Sachs passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on July 15, 2020 in West Palm Beach. To know her was to love her. She had a witty sense of humor and a personality to match. Though her life was full of outstanding accomplishments, she will forever be remembered as the loving wife of Jack Sachs to whom she was married for fifty years. Kay enjoyed life to its fullest and found joy in keeping a tidy home and spending quality time with her friends in Bay Terrace. Leisurely games of canasta and mahjongg, at the Bay Terrace Country Club, would then often lead to Ben's deli for dinner. Kay was also known for kicking up her heels with the lindy hop. Kay was also happy to enjoy a cosmopolitan or two! Her dedication to her family extended to her brother Joe Engelman and her sister Irene Menchel, and her three children, Phyllis Goldberg, Michelle Hungerman and Renee Goldberg, all of whom she loved dearly. Kay is survived by her three daughters as well as their spouses Greg Hungerman and Robert Goldberg. Her legacy also includes four grandchildren and spouses, as well as six great granchildren. Kay's life is to be celebrated as an example of selfless love and her vivacity will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sachs, her brother Joe Engelman and her brother-in-law Irwin Menchel.
