Although I never worked directly with Kurt in the Inspection Service, I did have contact with him both in New York and Philly when he was working for a private company following his time in the Inspection Service. He was always a gentleman with a positive attitude, and was the kind of individual you were always happy to see again, and in renewing acquaintances with, could take right up where you left off. We knew each other in Washington 1971-73 and our paths crossed several times afterwards. Kurt was a gentleman, a friend and the consumate professional. His ready smile and willingness to help were the marks of a outstanding individual. He will be missed.

I firstmet Kurt on Nov. 26, 1962,in WashingtonD.C., when our class was assembled fortraining as Postal Inspectors.He was very easy to get to know and became avery popular class mate. I recall manyfine times as we would study together. Our paths did not cross very often,duebeing assigned to different Divisions,but did get to meet5 on a few occasionsat National Headquarters.
