I first met Larry in the Chancellor Avenue playground in 1958. We became good friends through our love of sports and we were teamates for 3 years on the high school baseball team. Larry was our Captain and Leader…everyone on the team looked up to him. Upon graduation Larry and I double dated to the prom. I will always remember driving down to Bradley Beach on the Garden State Parkway, sitting in the back seat of his blue convertible with the top down. The wind was blowing so hard during the trip down the shore, my date and I had to lie on the floor of the back seat with a blanket over our heads, or we would have been blown out of the car. In the meantime Larry and his girlfriend were laughing their heads off during the entire ride. Those are the wonderful memories that will last forever in my heart, whenever I think of Larry, who was a dear friend and someone we all admired. My wife Barbara (Dubin) remembers Larry as a handsome, friendly and popular guy. His passing shocked and saddens both of us. We extend our deepest sympathies to the entire Silberman family. Eddie Klein, Class of '62
