Lit a candle in memory of Laura E. Fay
Laura was a very bright, intelligent and caring person. She was an asset to Rainberry Bay and to the City of Delray Beach. Here in Rainberry Bay she chaired the section of the Election committee selecting workers to register voters and those to count the votes at our annual election…and did an unbelievable efficient job each year. She was a volunteer for Special Reading Classes for the city, annually worked trimming our famous Christmas Tree downtown and was respected by all who were lucky to have worked with her.She encouraged me years ago that with my background to volunteer for the Financial Review Board of City of Delray Beach and so I did. I was appointed to that committee and thoroughly enjoyed meeting twice monthly and presenting our valuable financial recommendations to the City Council for two years, until the committee was dissolved by a new incoming Mayor. My husband and I enjoyed when Laura would stop to chat whenever out for a walk with Bandit whether near our house, at the pool or around the Rainberry circle. She was so well informed and a wonderfully interesting person. Laura's passing is a huge loss to those of us who loved her in addition to our great loss of a valuable member of the Rainberry Bay community.Selma & Melvin Snow
Laura was such a positive and fun person. She always had a kind word to say about everyone. She did so much volunteer work for Delray Beach. She also knit hats for children with cancer. She was generous with her time to help other people. Laura loved life…………she will be missed.
