Lawrance Saunders Mankoff's Obituary
Lawrance Saunders Mankoff (Larry, Zeke, The Larry Mankoff, Big Daddy Lar), 71, of Boca Raton passed away on February 10,2021. He was born January 27,1950 in Long Branch, NJ.
He was class of 1968 at Christian Brothers Academy High school in Lincroft, NJ. Larry graduated from Kent State in 1972 with a bachelor degree in business.
He then spent several years in the Peace Corps In Guatemala. He was helping to get clean water to the villages while living in a mud hut.
Later he went on to graduate from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. He received his Masters degree in Healthcare Management.
In 1979, Larry married Michele Campesi in South Orange, NJ. They went on to have three children.
He worked in NJ and FL as a Nursing Home Administrator/Owner and went on to open other businesses within the healthcare field.
15 years ago he received a kidney transplant from his sister’s close friend, Rick Beaulieu. The family is forever grateful for this selfless act of kindness.
He is survived by Michele Mankoff, his children Jessica Mankoff Damico, Erica Feldon (her husband Paul Feldon and their sons Aiden and Benjamin), Jeremy Mankoff (Chrystal and their son Liam and daughters Kayleanna and Hallie), his siblings Lois Niesen, Susan Massar Mchaffie, Alan Mankoff (his wife Patti Mankoff) and Lois Campesi (his Mother in Law)
Larry was also survived by his nieces and nephew, Jacob Mankoff (his wife Cailyn Dempsey and son Clinton), Jillian Mankoff, Bonny Rock (her husband Steve and daughter Julia), Danya Lynette (her fiancé Drew Schreiber, her daughters Kaella Pena (and husband Gabriel Pena), Talya)
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Jean Mankoff, niece Brooke Massar, nephew Daryl Lynette, Brother in Law Marc Massar and Brother in law Randy Mchaffie.
He was known for his charm, wit, infectious smile and his ability to never complain or stop enjoying life no matter what health challenges he faced.
