We were largely estranged from relatives on my father’s side, for good reason. However when I was a young child we still had some contact and Lea was the one who displayed kindness and compassion. Later my mother, Georgette, still had contact with Lea. I visited Lea a few years before her death in Florida and she attributed her good health at a ripe old age to my mother’s sharing with her things she had come to learn about healthy eating, sadly that my mother learned when my eldest sister Phyllis was terminally ill and mom was desperate to find ways to help. Lea danced and taught dance even in old age. She must be dancing now, perhaps with my mother who loved to dance, too.
