LEO SCHULTZ's Obituary
Leo Schultz passed away on Monday, February 12th, at age 95. Leo lived in Delray Beach, Florida for the past 26 years but was born and spent most of his adult life in Brooklyn, New York.Leo was the most kind hearted and gentle soul you will ever meet. He was known for his quiet demeanor, warm smile, sharp mind and would do anything for anyone. He truly was a man that was loved and respected by all! Leo was self-employed in the importing and exporting business and most proud of earning 2 purple hearts in WWII. He would share countless anecdotes about his travels in Europe during the war and saving several fellow soldiers, when they were torpedoed in Germany. Leo is survived by his wife, Yetta Schultz and children Jami (Dan) Ehring of Glenmont, NY, Brian (Denise) Schultz of Jackson NJ, his beloved grandchildren Madison Ehring, Mikayla Schultz, Jillian Schultz and Raegan Ehring. He is also survived by his sister-in-law (sister) Anne Stein of Brooklyn, NY and countless other relatives and friends. Leo was pre-deceased by his wife of 32 years, Marlene Schultz.
A celebration of Leo’s life will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel on Tuesday, February 20th at 11am and a military burial service will be held at 1:15pm at Beth David Cemetery. Bloomfield Cooper is located at 44 Wilson Ave, Route 527N, Manalapan, NJ 07726 and Beth David is located at 300 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY 11003. If you would like to join the family to share some of your fondest memories of Leo, they will be sitting Shiva at Brian and Denise’s house, located at 7 Trumbull Court, Jackson, NJ from Tuesday, February 20th through Thursday, February 22nd from 5pm-9pm.
