LEON ROSENBAUM's Obituary
Leon Rosenbaum, 97, passed away December 13, 2018. Lee was a long time resident of Pompano Beach, Florida. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Adrienne McCarter, Cherie Gilmour, and son, Jerry Rosenbaum; grandchildren, Megan Martell, Collin McCarter, Gary Ciampitti, great grandchild Henry Martell; sons in law, Tom McCarter, Jim Gilmour, and daughter in law, Joni Rosenbaum. He enjoyed a charmed life, was blessed with a remarkable 73 year marriage to his adoring wife, Harriet Gavenman Rosenbaum, who passed away October 4, 2016; Lee was an optimist by nature, a successful entrepreneur and salesman, starting in Philadelphia, where he was born and raised and then in Florida since 1969; instrumental in organizing a youth sports program at the West Oak Lane Jewish Community Center in Philadelphia; was an exceptional dancer, naturally gifted ambidextrous multi-sport athlete, an avid golfer, and even won a few championships, a 32nd degree Mason and an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII with an honor guard burial at South Florida National Cemetery.
