Leonard M Greenbaum's Obituary
Leonard Greenbaum
Leonard Greenbaum, a resident of Delray Beach, died March 21 after a brave battle with cancer. He was 81. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 14, 1939 to Jack and Mary Greenbaum, Lenny grew up with his sister Ilene in Far Rockaway, Queens. He moved to Florida in 1956. After a courtship that began in Miami Beach, he married his wife, Emily, in 1969. Emily became his partner in love and life, even working together with her in the beauty industry as a manufacturer’s representative. They spent 51 wonderful years together, raising their children David and Victoria in Boca Raton. Lenny was active in several community and social organizations, including B’nai Brith Lodge, for which he served as president. He was known for his love of storytelling and friendly demeanor. He was kind, caring, and adored by those who knew him. Lenny’s greatest joy and source of pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Emily; son David Greenbaum (Tracy Greenbaum); daughter Vicki Strochak (Jason Strochak); and two grandsons, Jack and Nathan Strochak, who were the greatest loves of his life. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
