Lillian Blau's Obituary
Lillian L. Blau, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025, at the age of 93, with her son Bruce by her side.
Lillian (“Lil”) was born on May 7, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, the only daughter of the late Morris and Miriam Natkin. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Julian (“Jules”) Blau. They lived together almost inseparable for over 70 years. Lil and Jules had two beloved children, Barbara and Bruce. The family spent their summers with friends at a bungalow colony in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Later in life, Lil and Jules embraced the warmth and sunshine of Delray Beach, Florida, where they resided for the past thirty years.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing cards, and watching golf on Sundays. Lillian always looked her best, having never missed a hair or nail appointment. She was a gracious host and a great cook.
Lillian was a strong matriarch of her family and a wonderful friend to all. Her long, beautiful life was a testament to the love she held for her family and friends, finding immense joy in their company and treasuring every moment spent together. She is forever loved and will be missed by many!
She is survived by her adored son, Bruce Blau; her cherished grandchildren, Jason Lisnak, Lisa (Thomas) Sabol, Amanda Blau, and Chloe Blau; her beloved great-grandchildren, Tommy and Rory Sabol; her loving brother, Phil Natkin, and his wife Rona Natkin; her nephews Russell (Cindy) Natkin and Andrew (Halley) Natkin; and her niece Rina Natkin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Miriam Natkin; her loving husband, Julian Blau; her beloved daughter, Barbara Lisnak; her brother, Arnold Natkin; and her nephew, David Natkin.
A cryptside service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:15 p.m. at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Florida 33473
