LINDA ILENE SCHULTZ's Obituary
Linda Ilene Schultz died surrounded by her loving family June 26, 2021, at Hospice in Boca Raton, Florida. She was 81 years old.
"Live your life," Linda often said. A devoted wife, mother and friend to many, she lived her life with passion and a desire to help others.
Linda was born to Henry and Alice (nee Bartnofsky) Katoff in 1940, the second of two girls. She married Sheldon Jay Schultz in 1958.
When her children were old enough, Linda went to work, becoming a medical assistant in a busy Long Island, New York, pediatric and allergy practice. She loved it, especially working with small children.
After retiring to Boynton Beach, Florida, and inspired by her best friend's battle with cancer, Linda was instrumental in building membership in the Aberdeen chapter of Pap Corps Champions for Research, South Florida's largest volunteer cancer organization. By the time she stepped down, the chapter had 650 members.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Sheldon "Shelly"; son Mark (Mark Hamblet) of North Carolina; daughter Beth Moss (Glenn Moriyama) of California; and two grandchildren she adored, Jason and Chelsea Moss of Colorado and California, respectively. She also is survived by her older sister, Sandra Hoffman of New York; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Honey and Ronald "Ronnie" Perlmutter of Florida; two nieces and cousins..
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Linda Schultz will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road in Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Aberdeen Chapter of The Pap Corps to help support the vital research programs of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine..
