Linda Elaine Silverstone's Obituary
Linda Elaine Silverstone gently passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, March 15, 2023 - just two
weeks after her 81st birthday. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 2, 1942 to Shirley and Jack
Jacobs, Linda went on to be a unit coordinator in the medical field and even had a brief stint as
a party planner. More importantly though, she was a beautiful, hilarious, wonderful sister, wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. But a list of occupations and adjectives can’t
describe a person or paint a solid picture of their life. Nor can an obituary really, but one can try.
Linda was married on September 17, 1960 to Sidney Silverstone after they met at her cousin’s
house 5 years prior. He was the love of her life and she was his Earth Angel. She remained her
family’s Earth Angel, however, long after Sidney passed away on October 10, 2007.
In addition to her loving husband Sidney, Linda was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey
Silverstone (Sheryl) in January 2011. A mother should never have to face such pain, but she
remained strong nonetheless. Her sense of humor and love for her family never wavered.
Surviving are her siblings Richard Jacobs (Eileen), Leslie Kalmus (Barbara), and Barbara
Stebbins (Greg); sons Ira Silverstone, and Steven Silverstone (Jodi); grandchildren Jonathan
(Hillary), Allison (Samuel), Joshua (Lindsay), David (Rebeka), Rebecca (Kai), Daniel, and
Adam; and great granddaughter Sierra.
She will forever be in our hearts and may her memory be for a blessing!
