Lois Ash Metlika's Obituary
Lois Metlika, 86 years old, passed away on July 20, 2023, in Jacksonville Florida.
Lois “Libby” originally from Pittsburgh, PA, moved to Miami, FL when she was in her early twenties but remained part of the “Steeler Nation” her whole life. She watched every game she could, waving her “Terrible Towel”. In 1993, she moved to Jacksonville, FL, to be closer to her family. Some of her favorite things included, cruises, horse racing, telling stories of her childhood, chatting with friends on Facebook, the Hallmark Channel, and British television & movies. In 2013 she traveled throughout England where she toured all the places, she only dreamed of seeing her whole life. It was a trip of a lifetime and one of the happiest times of her life.
Lois is predeceased by her Parents William and Sadie Ash, her sisters, Esther, Ruth, Rebecca, Sarah and her brother Emanual.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Fran), Brian (Cindy), Jodi (Ira) and Andrea, her 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and her brother, Irv.
An intimate service will be held at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, FL, on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 2:15pm.
