Lois Weissman's Obituary
Lois Weissman, 91, passed away Sunday January 21, 2018. Formerly of Bethpage, New York, she had been a resident of Florida since 1985. Lois and her beloved husband of 69 years Kenneth lived in Willow Bend in Lake Worth before moving to Brookdale Lake Worth five years ago. Lois was born in New Haven, CT to Harry and Belle Alderman (nee Cutler). A Registered Nurse since the age of 19, Lois trained at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and went on to serve with the Nassau County Public Health Department. Always a lady, Lois was an amazing wife and mother, baker, gourmet cook, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Lois was an enthusiastic knitter, creating beautiful sweaters and afghans. Lois was the devoted mother of Betsy (David Moakley), Debra (Sheldon Goldberg), and James Weissman; and the dear grandmother of Jason Moakley (who pre-deceased her), Eric (Mariel) Moakley, Matthew Goldberg, Rachel Goldberg, Jonah Weissman, and Timothy Weissman. Private chapel services will be held at 1:45 PM on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437 followed by entombment in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach.
