Lola Silverman's Obituary
Lola (nee Pogorelsky) Silverman, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away January 30, 2023 at 103 years of age. Her 77-year-long marriage to Nathan was one characterized by fortitude and endurance, humility, and devotion. Lola was the mother of Mike (Naomi) Silverman; Tina (Eugene) Cohen; and Gail (Andrew) Goldberg. She is survived by her three children; daughter-in-law; grandchildren Gayle; Aaron; Sheri; Ethan (Elizabeth); Ilene (Bradley); and Justin (Sara), as well as great-grandchildren Greta; Rose; Vivian; Peter; Emmett; and Ezra. Lola will be remembered for her spunk and humor, her witty intellect, her knowledge of tennis and politics, and her passion for Chinese food, chocolate bars, and coffee ice cream. She was a model of strength for her children, delighted in sharing all of her grandchildren’s varied accomplishments, and relished watching her great-grandchildren begin to grow up. Lola’s straightforward honesty, lively charisma, and ability to make all those around her smile will be missed and cherished in memory.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, located at 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Florida, 33437.
