Lynnette Wilder Mazer's Obituary
Lynnette Wilder Mazer, born September 28, 1925 passed away December 14, 2024. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond J. Mazer, son, Alan Jay Mazer, her parents, Anne Seitchik Wilder, Joseph L. Wilder, and her sister, the late Adele Mande Eaton.
Lynne graduated from Simon Gratz High School in 1943 and won a four-year scholarship to Temple University. After a year and a half, she left Temple and married the love of her life (seventy nine years) Ray Mazer, and moved to Petersburg, VA (Camp Lee) where Ray was stationed during WWII. They resided in Glenside, PA for almost 50 years, where Lynne worked as a receptionist in Ray's Podiatric practice. Lynne was a member of the Philadelphia Podiatry Auxiliary, and Abington Hospital Auxiliary. Upon retirement in 1993, they moved to Hunter's Run in Boynton Beach, FL, where Lynne played golf, and volunteered at CAP (Comprehensive AIDS Program of Palm Beach County, Inc.) Lynne brightened any room she was in, with her infectious laughter.
Survived by her daughters Carol Dershaw (Dr. Stuart) of Boynton Beach, FL, Jody Franco (Dr. Kenneth) Ninety Six, SC, sister, Cynthia Segal and (the late Albert), Lenox, MA.; grandchildren Chad Dershaw (Susanne) North Barrington, IL, Ariann Bernstein (Brad) Pen Valley, PA, Samantha Katz (Jason) Admore, PA, and Jonathan Franco of Atlanta; and great-grandchildren, Alexa and Trevor Bernstein, and Sydney and Nate Katz.
Private service will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach with the burial at South Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
