MARCY GOODMAN's Obituary
Goodman, Marcy, 68, of Richmond, Virginia passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 in Boynton Beach, FL. She conquered Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and fought her ultimate battle with congestive heart failure. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Rebecca Rosalind Goodman. Beloved daughter to Paul Goodman and loving sister to Ruth Goodman. She is survived by 4 children; Mr. and Mrs. J D’Errico, Mr. and Mrs. J D’Errico, Amanda D’Errico (Chris) and Shannon Lane (Taylor). She is also survived by 5 beautiful grandchildren, and one on the way, whom she adored with all her heart. She is also survived by many cousins, family members, and friends. Her love extended to her many four-legged companions.
Marcy was born in Newark, NJ. Her early years were spent in Bloomfield, NJ and she grew up in Livingston, NJ. She commenced her life raising her family in Clifton and Cream Ridge, NJ. She eventually moved to Richmond, VA where she spent a large portion of her adult life. Marcy recently spent time in Florida caring for her father.
Marcy’s world revolved around her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She loved spending time with them and supporting them any way she could. This involved outfitting them in her cherished handcrafted attire. Marcy’s passion for sewing and knitting was apparent to all who knew her; she didn’t go anywhere without her knitting. Marcy’s love of dance began when she was a child and continued throughout her life. She continued taking tap dancing classes until her untimely passing. Additionally, she devoted a large portion of her life to the public-school system, tenderly teaching children grades pre-K-12.
A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Marcy’s name to one of the following organizations: American Heart Association or Boys and Girls Club.
