MARILYN JOAN GREENBAUM TAKO's Obituary
Marilyn Joan Greenbaum Tako passed away June 10, 2021 at the age of 84.
Marilyn was born in the Bronx, New York on October 17, 1936. She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1954. She took many courses throughout her life, and happily earned her Associate’s Degree from Bergen Community College at the age of 70.
She was a realtor, painter, and lifelong learner. As a 25 year cancer survivor, she dedicated the last years of her life to writing a book detailing her recovery.
Marilyn married Frank Tako on July 4, 1974; they were married for 46 years.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Frank, her brother Steven Greenbaum, her son Michael Goldblatt, her daughter Randi Peters and her husband Russell Ash, her grandchildren Jessica and Robert, and other family and friends. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Jerome Greenbaum, and her first husband Milton Goldblatt.
There will be a graveside service held at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, New Jersey at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Memorial donations may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society.
