Marvin Monroe Berger's Obituary
Marvin Monroe Berger, born January 19, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family.
At the age of 17, Marvin enlisted in the United States Army, demonstrating early on his deep sense of duty and commitment. Following his military service, he went on to study medicine at the University of Basil, Switzerland, ultimately becoming a respected internist and cardiologist. Marvin spent over 40 years as a reputable doctor in Queens, NY, Boca Raton, Fl and finally settling in as a camp physician in the Catskills and Berkshire Mountains. He was known for his dedication to his patients and their families and loved swimming and cherishing time with his family.
Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved and dedicated second wife, Arlene. He is survived by his children Pamela, Allyson, Mark and Steven, his two-step children Ian and Robin, his four grandchildren Elena, Sam, Kaia and Gavin, his 5 step-grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Marvin will be remembered for his sense of service to his community in the medical field, his compassion and unforgettable sense of humor. He had a way of making people feel at ease and of turning ordinary moments into something more special.
A chapel service will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel (Boynton Chapel)
at 9am on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery at 11am.
