Marvin A. Shochet's Obituary
Shochet, Marvin A, 90, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away Oct. 16,2016. He was born June 7, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA. Marvin was a World War II veteran of Patton’s army and served in France and Germany. He was a very successful and ethical businessman who owned Shochet Securities, the largest discount stock brokerage firm in Florida, with seven locations from South Miami through Boca Raton, started in 1981, and sold in 2002. Marvin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cared greatly for the well-being of everyone he knew and loved. Everything he did was based upon that. In retirement, his ability to express his love for his family grew exponentially with each year. He will be dearly missed and always loved. Mr. Shochet is survived by his wife, Sally; his three children: Randy Shochet, Nadine Nasby and Adriane Coplan; three step children: Sue Zerman, Karen Beall and Scott Kaye; and 14 grandchildren and a brother Efriam Shochet of Somers Point, NJ. Funeral Services will be 9:30 AM, Thursday, Oct 20, 2016 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL. Entombment will follow at Beth David Memorial Gardens, Hollywood, FL.
