Thank you Jane.
My sincerest condolences to the Bachrach family. Mary was a good friend to me after I lost my dad. I met Mary at the Beth El minyan where my dad would go every morning. My dad was very fond of his minyan companions and after he passed I would return there to visit with them as for me it was a connection to him. Mary insisted that we meet for dinner when I would visit Palm Beach from NYC. I always appreciated her company both at dinner and at the minyan. Mary was a kind person and she had a good heart. She saw the truth in people but would never say a negative word about anyone. I especially enjoyed her 80th birthday party. Her children were extremely devoted to her and she was blessed to have them in her life. She was ever so grateful to her son Micheal for all he did for her. She missed Floyd terribly but she carried on in spite of it. She had a strong will to live as she survived several life threatening experiences. I will miss her at minyan and at high holy day services and I will miss our dinners out in Palm Beach during my short visits. Mary was smart, caring and had a great big heart. She ill be sorely missed my me as well as by many others she touched in her years living in Palm Beach. One by one my minyan friends are either passing on or moving away….and I miss them all…..Harry, Ruben, Pierce and now Mary. I was blessed to know them.
I met Mary at The Temple Beth El minyan in or around 1986. My dad was a regular at the minyan. He introduced me to his friends there……some of whom were Harry and Ruben along with Pierce Weinstein and Mary Bachrach. My dad was very fond of Floyd who by then had passed away but I always heard wonderful things about him through my dad and Mary. I began a friendship with Mary and after my dad passed away in the year 2000 we would get together for dinner quite often….whenever I visited Palm Beach from NYC. Through Mary I met her children, her brother and her many grandchildren. It was always wonderful to see how caring and devoted they were to her. Mary was very kind and tried her best to do whatever she could for the temple and her children in spite of her physical limitations. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was a good friend and a kind good soul and she will be sorely missed by many. I certainly will miss my dinner partner on my next trip to Palm Beach. May she rest in peace….and may her spirit remain alive in all of our hearts forever.
