MaryAnn Volpe's Obituary
Mary Ann Volpe was born on April 10, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY. She met her husband, Frank C. Volpe Sr. on St. Patricks’ Day 1960 in New York City and they were married at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Valley Stream, NY on November 4, 1961.
Mary Ann and Frank were very involved with the Italian American Club, B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1898 and American Legion Post 142 in Pompano Beach, FL.
MaryAnn was the past President of the PTA in NY and President the Guild at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pompano Beach.
She was very involved in the Delray Beach community: she was President of ABWA, she was a member of the Delray Society Club, Chamber of Commerce, Woman’s Club, and she was in the choir at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, FL.
She was the operations facilitator of the 100 ft. Christmas tree in Delray Beach and she also worked at Habitat for Humanity in Delray Beach until her recent illness.
MaryAnn was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping, crafts, socializing with family and friends and spending time with her loving granddaughters, Curran and Ava who were the light of her life.
MaryAnn Volpe is survived by her daughter Lucy A. Volpe-Miller, (Robert) Miller Jr. of Redmond, WA, son Frank C. Volpe Jr. (Megan) O’Rourke-Volpe of Boynton Beach, FL, granddaughters Curran and Ava, her sister Linda (Tom) Fratello of Ventura, CA, sister-in-law, Diane Volpe of Long Island, NY, along with, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 31 years, Frank C. Volpe Sr., cherished friend and longtime companion of Joe Vitucci, her loving parents Charles and Liboria DiStefano and extended family.
MaryAnn Volpe was full of life and will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her. May she rest in peace.
