Maurice Goldstein's Obituary
Maurice Goldstein, 85, of Coral Cove section of Coral Lakes in Boynton Beach passed away Tuesday July 24, 2018. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina he came to the U.S. as a teenager and settled in Heightstown, New Jersey. Maurice possessed an innate talent and ability to create and design jewelry and was early on drawn to the jewelry trade in New York City. A self-made man, Maurice harnessed his talent and drive to become a renowned NYC jeweler, designing and creating jewelry for athletes and politicians the likes of Joe Torre, Jake LaMotta, Willie Mays, Thurman Munson, Bucky Dent, and many others to name a few, who not only were customers but became his friends. He always exceeded expectation of everyone but himself. Before coming to Florida Maurice culminated his life’s work into “Designs by Maurice” a designer and supplier of jewelry with more than 200 employees. He was a true success story. Maurice leaves his beloved wife of 42 years, Judith; his devoted children Jaime Goldstein, David Goldstein, Becky Goldstein, and Lisa (the late Michael) Turoff; and his cherished grandchildren Michael, Kevin, and Chace. Maurice was also the loving father of the late Michael Goldstein. Chapel services will be held at 9:45AM on Friday July 27, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437 followed by interment with military honors at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
